]]>Besides its advance in areas such as architecture and history, Kiev is legendary for its top attractions, including significant landmarks. The city home to some of the most beautiful locations and landscapes.
It’s also a bustling marketplace that offers affordable services ranging from transportation, food, and luxury products. Meanwhile, it’s a strategic location in the north, serving as a gateway to the famous city of Chernobyl, also a significant tourist attraction.
Now, let me give an in-depth explanation.
Kiev is like any other modern city, so you cannot miss a few out of the ordinary elements/incidences. But besides that, it remains one of the safest capitals in the world. Issues of terrorism and unprovoked attacks are rare. According to available statistics, the crime rate is quite low, and you can walk around the streets in the late hours of the night without fear.
Also, unlike in the past years, the highways are so well-lit and less hazardous. The city’s roads are smooth, meaning that driving is safe, comfortable, and less road carnage. Another plus is that the government now disseminates information and travel advice on the current hotspots. This enables every traveler to know which places and situations to avoid.
But again, I would say common sense applies, and personal security takes precedence at all times. Being an international traveler, its possible to stand out. Hence you need to take considerable care not to flash money around while also watching your belongings and wallet. This relates mostly to public transport.
Again, why is kiev a popular tourist destination? It has been decades since soviet era restrictions got entirely out of the way. Now, tourists have a field day bargain-hunting in a city that is so vibrant and busy round the clock.
Most visitors revel in the classy designer clothes, electricals, and pricey leatherwear. The shopping malls boast of designer male/female attires from all the top brands in the world. And it does not stop there. You have the opportunity to scoop some of the most sought after souvenirs /mementos to carry back home.
What of the outdoor markets? Let me say that these and uncountable shopping malls dot the city. Thus, you have a line-up of locations to pick affordable fresh food, vegetables, and even drinks.
Another big reason for an increase in visitors is the fantastic nightlife, and this happens more during the summer. For instance, whenever my clients come, I schedule to introduce them to an emerging vibrant youth culture comprising live bands and studio music.
This, in essence, dominates the party and nightlife scene. Many tourists are familiar with locations like Nizhneyurkovskaya Street. Here, famous bars like Mezzonine, Closer, and Otel are popular for good music, and sensational nightlife.
Most of my visitors have one major confession. They say that Kiev is a perfect location where they quickly discover and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Green leafy views mark the city with a mix of exciting landmarks, which provides a sense of magnificence and glamour.
An example is the landscape alley, a destination for fascinating fairy tales, and beautiful backdrops. The spot, which is open 24/7, with zero entrance fee, is an excellent pastime for both young and old. Other outstanding sites are the Hydro and Mariinskiy parks which offer the city with splendid greenery, and an impressive view of the river, respectively.
I should also say the Botanical Garden in Kiev is on the long list of must-see things for foreign guests. Here you kill two birds with one stone in the form of the beautiful rich fauna and the exploration of the Trinity Monastery.
Did I mention that Kiev is famous for its historical monuments and landmarks? That’s right. From museums, art galleries to ancient churches, these are significant attractions for throngs of international visitors throughout the seasons.
A magnificent site like Pechersk Lavra monastery is an amazingly enormous complex. It comprises not just cathedrals but ancient caves as well. This site is a holy place, with old churches multitudes congregate. It also draws a large number of tourists from all over the world. As a visitor, you have the chance to see mesmerize in endless beauty on any given day.
The National art museum of Ukraine is another famous landmark. It boasts of the great Ukrainian masterpieces and sculptures, some of which date back to the stone age period of the Kieran Rus. Besides, the contemporary art scene is also quite contagious. Many people cannot resist the urge to check out great exhibitions showing both local and international artistic prowess.
Who would not want to venture where there is mouth-watering cuisine?
The exciting news is that Kiev caters to top-notch cuisine. Thus, besides sightseeing, many people revel in the delicacies of the numerous city restaurants.
Then, of course, there is top of the range eateries serving the best of world cuisine. Therefore, besides indulging in traditional Ukrainian delicacies, you can also enjoy a variety of English, Mexican, Italian, and American food.
The fantastic thing is that both local and international food is cheap. For instance, with just $2, you can enjoy a local beer in high-end restaurants. And if yours is the love for fast food, Kiev boasts of one of the busiest branches of the MacDonald’s in the world.
I would say the list of attractions in kiev is inexhaustive. But what is more important is that the city has a reputation as a haven. As your tour guide, I possess the most sought-after knowledge and expertise in terms of the best sites, best rates, and all there is to know about Kiev. Together we ensure that you get all the value for your money while in the city.

]]>You do not need to break the bank to enjoy your time in Kiev. There is a party for every taste and budget, so if you decided to explore the nightlife scene in Kiev but do not know how much it might cost you, this article is the answer:
You can enjoy your evening at a nightclub in Kiev for as little as $25, or go out for a lavish night and spend up to $500.
On average, my tourists spend $100-$150 on their Kiev nightlife experience. That includes food and drinks at a pre-party spot or bar, nightclub entrance fee with drinks, light snack or a full meal, as well as transport costs via Uber or city cap.
Including an after party may vary of course as some people will want to party further, while others find a place to relax and eat after a long night of partying in Kiev.
As for a glamourous lavish nightlife experience, you can go to high-end clubs and bars with costs between $450-$600/night on average. But, if you will be accompanied by 2-4 friends, the cost of a fancy night will drop to something like $150 -$250 per person, which is an excellent value for your money that you are less likely to get anywhere else in the world especially when you take into consideration that these will be high-end establishments, like CHI nightclub for example.
Even if you are on an extremely tight budget, you can still enjoy a full Kiev nightlife experience starting from as little as $25-$30/night budget. Although I will advise you to increase it to $50, this will cover everything including your transport from and to hotel, nightclub entrance fee, a couple of drinks at the nightclub’s bar and a small snack.
With this tight budget, your choice of places that are fun, safe, and tourist friendly are limited. I recommend you try Forsage nightclub, although not the fanciest, it is a great party choice in this budget category.
A good nightlife experience in Kiev usually starts with a pre-party, then partying all night at a trendy Kiev nightclub before concluding the night with an after-party. You can do all that without overspending, and here is how:

So how would you start your nightlife journey?
Usually it starts with a pre-party spot in downtown Kiev, maybe a bar like Touch Café.
A table reservation is free, and the music is decent, with occasional live DJ performances when they organize their own events. Understandably, partying will include some drinking or a lot of drinking for some!
You can start with a meal, and maybe have some drinks as well. A decent meal will cost you around $12, most alcoholic beverages on the menu cost between $3 and $14. That will round your pre-party experience to $15-$30. I attached a screenshot of part of their menu here:

If you do not want to eat or have any snacks, then The Bar would be a great pre-party spot for you. It is located right inside Arena City complex, the heart of Kiev nightlife.
Do not expect to have any food or snacks there as they only serve alcoholic beverages with which they are very creative. The Bars’ atmosphere will give you a good place to enjoy a good drink and put you in a good mood before you proceed with your Kiev nightlife experience.
Guest DJs perform there on weekends. Drinks are great and prices are moderate. Their craft cocktails goes for around $7. Here is a snap of their menu:

The suggested budget assumes that you are not planning to feast in the nightclub, but order some drinks and maybe snacks throughout the night instead. Partying in a nightclub during your Kiev nightlife experience will cost you on average something between $50 and $80 in trendy clubs like Caribbean, Indigo, or Shooters.
The most popular of them among tourists is Caribbean, and I will use it as an example here.
Uber will take you there for about $5 depending on where you are staying. The entrance fee may vary depending on the night. Sometimes it is free, and sometimes you will need to pay between $9 and $15 at the entrance.

On special events, entrance cost can reach up to $22. Of course, you can spend the night between the bar and dance floor at no additional cost beside what you pay for your orders. However, you are going to spend more than $10 dollars there anyway, so why not reserve a place at a small table for two for $11 deposit, and later use it to cover some of your orders.
Larger tables that accommodate 4 to 10 guests can be reserved for $148 to $296 deposit which seems like a decent budget for many orders.
The average club goer who orders around 4 drinks and maybe a snack may end up paying $35-$40 for orders, add this to the average weekend entrance fee of $15, and you will end up with a $50-$55 potential club bill in total.
Ordering an Uber at the end on the night, in early morning hours can be more expensive due to higher demands. So expect your ride to downtown Kiev to cost up to $6. This brings the total cost of your nightclub experience from hotel to hotel to $60-$65.
While most people call it a night after they leave the nightclub, some want the party to go on. If you are an after party person yourself, you will not be disappointed as the party never stops in Kiev.
There are couple of options that I recommend to my tourists depending on what after-party environment they prefer after they leave nightclubs, the first among them is:
Arena City is a great after-party spot as the entertainment complex has many establishments that work until early morning, and some never close their doors.
Many partygoers would crave a meal, maybe with a drink and some music in the background. For them, Casual Food and The Burger are two great options; the food is great and prices are very moderate, you can enjoy your meal and the music while chatting with friends.
I stop by these two cafes myself from time to time during the day and early evening when I find myself near Arena City. I usually pay $15 for a three-course meal with a glass of juice. You can expect to pay about the same amount.
If you are hardcore partygoer, you can go to Heaven Club for a wild after party. They have a great lounge bar on the first floor, where the music is not loud, while the basement level is a nightclub with large but intimate dancefloor.
Although there is a chance you will find an empty table on the lounge floor, it is a slight one. So, consider reserving one in advance.
Same club rules apply: entrance fee, deposit for table reservations, and so on. The average deposit for a good table is around $40. This will be more than enough for many orders. Then, take a $5 Uber ride whenever you decide to go back to your hotel.
Let us assume that you would like to party in Kiev, put have no plans to spend anything near a $100 for the night, would this be possible and how it will playout?
Actually yes, it is possible to have a good time on a tight budget in Kiev nightlife. There are several nightclubs and bars where you can enjoy a decent nightlife experience within the $50 mark.
Nevertheless, you must agree that when costs go down, often so does quality. So, fair warning!
If you happen to be on an extremely tight budget, you should consider going to Forsage. It is a popular nightclub among youth, has three floors with four separate dance halls, each with its own music and theme.

The club itself is located near Shuliavska Metro Station. Yes, you can ride the metro then walk for 25 minutes to the club, but doing this at night would not be wise. It would be better for you to order an Uber to take you there. Assuming your hotel is in downtown Kiev, an Uber ride to Forsage will cost something around $5.
Expect to pay around $2 as entrance fee, as for table reservation in Forsage nightclub, it is free but you will need to make a deposit for orders (drinks and food) in advance. The deposit amount (per table) depends on its location, size, and how many people can be seated (4-8 guests). The cheapest will go for $30 and all the way to $93 (per table, not guest), or you can hang around the bar and the dancing floor for free.
Buying a beer will cost something between $1 and $3.50. A cocktail is around $4-$7, and the price goes up for darker liquor.

In case you get hungry, you can order a small snack or a full meal for around $5-$10 from the nightclub’s restaurant.
Ordering some fruits and deserts (good idea if you have guests around the table!) can cost you around $11-$20 for a portion enough for 2-4 people. Another $5-$6 will be enough to take you back to downtown Kiev.
Well, that concludes this sneak peek into the financial aspect and prices of Kiev nightlife from a budget prospective. If you would like to experience the best of Kiev nightlife, let me guide you in a nightlife tour of the city. Contact me now if you ready to explore Kiev and join the party!

Without a doubt, Kiev is a treasure for tourists, as it offers beautiful cityscapes, restaurants, historical and architectural monuments. However, its main attraction is the Kiev nightlife, and it is attracting millions of tourists each year to the city.
Nightlife in Kiev is not a “one size fits all”, but a mixture of many tastes.
There are wide selections for nightlife events, from glamourous to more frugal Kiev night clubs, disco to beach clubs and even after party clubs. Wow! They go on until early in the morning to the next day’s afternoon.
Despite the cooler winter climate in Kiev, this non-stop, magnificent party capital can offer blood warming evenings and entertainment thanks to wide range of discos, night clubs and bars of all kinds and themes.
Ukrainians are very friendly, love to have fun and party hard until the morning. The last is a tradition brightly reflected by the never-ending, fantastic parties of Kiev Nightlife.

You can make new friends while partying and enjoying Kiev nightlife. Clubs and bars are great place to meet beautiful, sexy Ukrainian women.
Elegant, glamourous, and stylishly dressed, the friendly ladies of Kiev are pleasant company. Remember to keep it classy and approach with friendly smile.
Kiev loves to party, and Arena City is a great place to start.
Due to its central location just next to the historic Bessarabska Square, Arena City Kiev is one of the most visited places by tourists.
It is the largest entertainment complex in Kiev and is the honorary capital of fun, party and Kiev nightlife.
Inside Arena City, there are some of the most famous Kiev night clubs, bars, restaurants, shops, and strip clubs.
I recommend you come to Arena City early in the day, experience the best food outlets, have dinner, and then some fun in a club or where ever you like to hang around overnight, party, and dance!

Located in Arena City, SkyBar Club is an adult entertainment complex in Kiev.
SkyBar is one of the most famous night clubs in Kiev. It has over ten years being known as the best Nightlife party spot in the city.
Staying on top of Kiev nightlife outlets is never easy. That is why the club underwent reconstruction for a few months, but has already opened its doors, as spectacular as ever, hosting customers and entertaining them with fresh collection of global entertainment ideas.
SkyBar is not just a night club with a dance floor. It also has a restaurant, fancy lounge, and a beautiful terrace overlooking the city center.
In addition to hosting events with international DJs, karaoke nights are also organized at SkyBar during the week.
There is a tight dress code enforced at the entrance, so better dress up!

CHI works as night club only twice a week (Friday and Saturday), for the rest of the week it’s open as a restaurant.
Within a few months, CHI managed to establish itself as a prime Kiev nightlife destination. It became known as the fancy VIP nightclub and restaurant in Kiev, mostly attracting wealthy clients.
Prices are on the high side compared to other night clubs in Kiev. Nevertheless, it’s always busy on weekends, and getting inside might be very, very difficult!
The bar at CHI serves great cocktails, and the music played in the club is enjoyable. Most often the music is played by famous international DJs, and goes back and forth between house and trance music.
Dress code is formal at CHI!
Even if you reserve a table and make a deposit, it doesn’t mean that you will pass dress code if you chose not to dress up. So, a word of advice: suit up!
CHI is THE hook up place, as the ladies there stylish and glamorous, and quite sophisticated.
As experienced tour guide in Kiev, I would highly recommend you go there. And as your nightlife tour guide, your chances of enjoying good evening at CHI will octuple!

Not far from the Dynamo Stadium, D.Fleur is one of the most famous night clubs in Kiev.
Interior design and decoration are an elegant feast for the eyes, spread out over three floors.
The ground floor is a restaurant and lounge bar area, where you can have a drink, initiate and enjoy some conversation.
If you feel like dancing afterward, just go up to the next floor where the main dance floor is located. There is a balcony on the upper level with a good view of the dance floor.
The music played at D.Fleur is not exclusive to a genre or style. Usually recent popular songs are played. Special party events are also organized from time to time.
Prices are between mid-range to expensive compared to the average pricing policy of Kiev night clubs.
There is an X factor making this club trendy among locals and especially popular with women. It is easy to find yourself dancing in the midst of beautiful women!
Dress code is less formal. Just the standard dress code.
So, what do you think?
Should I include this when I plan your Kiev nightlife tour for you?

Not far from Kiev central train station, the Caribbean is a known nightlife destination, and one of the oldest night clubs in Kiev.
As the name suggests, the club plays mainly Latin music, with trance and RnB music also played depending on the night’s program.
Caribbean Club’s diverse and vibrant atmosphere attracts both locals and tourists. Special shows including live music and exotic dancers are quite common.
Maintaining this atmosphere helped maintain the club’s popularity, especially with women between 25-35 years, making it a great meet-up place.

Forsage’s youthful vibe makes it popular among university students and youth in Kiev. The average age of the goers is something between 18-24 years.
Friday and Saturday are the best time to join the party.
Some tourists find Forsage Club amusing and tend to pay it more than one visit.
The club occupies three floors, each of which plays a different type of music.
Prices are low. Reserving a table with a minimum deposit for drinks will cost up to $30.
Forsage’s advantage is its own disadvantage. It is a student-oriented club and comes with all the issues and difficulties associated that.

Not far from Kiev central train station, is the elegant Indigo night club.
The complex consists of restaurant, karaoke, lounge bar and a dance floor.
Morning to afternoon the club operates as a restaurant, and then shifts to work as a bar. After 10:00 pm the night club is up and running.
Indigo enjoys a refined clientele that prefer to party on weekend (Friday and Sunday).
If I am to plan your nightlife tour in Kiev, I will first suggest to go on the weekend.

Located within the famous Arena City Kiev, The Bar is one the best bars – if not the best – in Kiev.
It consists of two sections, smoking and non-smoking. The former enjoys a small dance floor with life DJ stand, where life DJs often paly RnB, Pop and club music, making for pleasant atmosphere.
Add to it dimmed lights, the smoking section is like a mini night club, making it more fun for smokers!
The Bar deserves the “The” before its name as it is known for serving quality drinks and cocktails, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. That’s why starting your Kiev nightlife journey from The Bar would be a great idea.

You should really try Lubov Markov’s signature spiced hot mulled wine and hot cider, served with fluffy waffles, and you are welcome to thank me later
